I'm more surprised that a bank's ATM wouldn't take a $2 bill over a claw machine taking a $2 bill

my grandpa gives me 100's of these every year. He finds it amusing that people don't know them. They still produce them and you can just order them from the bank in sequential bands.

It has always worked for me in the self check outs. $2 Bills are so underrated these days.

They have to accept them… it’s US currency

$2 bills are $2 bills. They still print them. They're legal tender. There's no reason why a store wouldn't take them. People think they're rare, but you could totally go into a bank and say, exchange a $20 for 10 $2 bills. They're really not that special. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Me when stores accept legal tender as currency 💀

They still print them obviously. You can even go to banks and exchange 2 $1 bills for a crisp $2. Everyone pretends they are rare, but until the end of time they will be worth $2.

My mom told me that a 2 dollar bill brings you good luck and are rare to find

Its legal tender so a federal bank legally has to accept it. Assuming this was a federal bank, the ATM can not reject it for it being a $2 bill. So it likely got rejected for something else, in the same way vending machines reject bills for seemingly no reason

I work at a circle k in northern Maine. When ever a $2 bill comes through the store I buy it and keep it. I have one that’s absolutely mint condition, and multiple others in very good condition. I also have a $10 bill from 1963. Plan was to collect enough for each of my kids to have one, and I’ve already hit that goal. I’ve always heard they are good luck.

Restaurant manager here! I’ve actually had several employees bring me two dollar bills because they thought they thought they didn’t exist.
