Using the SAMSUNG S20FE in 2024! - A Real Day in Life

Released in late 2020, the S20FE seeked to bridge the gap between the A series and the S20 series, which had increased in price yet again. In many ways, the S20Fe was considered a "Flagship Killer". Everything you need. Everything you don't. But in 2024, with its strong presence in the used market, I wanted to test the S20FE in a real day in my life to see if it can still keep up today! I test out the Performance, Display, Cameras and most importantly, the battery performance to see if it's still worth considering.

Two years S20 FE still Going strong and will go on till 27 hopefully

i recently bought S20FE early 2024 february(not brand new) snapdragon variant 4g with 6gb ram.
the ram management at first was really really bad, i feel like 6gb is not enough for android 13.but after a week of use it start to adapt to my usage and keep getting better in the ram management.


Battery wise, it very very solid not the greatest though.
on average i got 5hrs to 5hrs30-40min SOT(my mobile data is always on, cuz most of my activities require mobile data)85-90% of my usage my mobile data is on.but they're time the battery performed very worse than it does, in summer, the phone quickly heat and drain battery faster, during that time i got 4hrs SOT.
but the best battery performance I've got with the S20FE was 6hrs40min SOT.

gaming wise, i also play PUBG and when i calculate the battery discharge and predict how long it'll last if it maintain same discharging speed, it can give me 4hrs or slightly less of non stop gaming, cuz i game for 1hrs40min to 2hrs 3min and in average it discharge 25-28% per hour of gaming PUBG(using mobile data)

I am watching this on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4g. Snapdragon version. Mine lasts me the entire day ranginf from 4-6 hrs of SOT with a bit of gaming, social media ext. My battery is three-years old now.

The best FE made. I still use mine (snapdragon). If the S24 FE is also disappointing, i am switching to pixel.

I got one in February 2023, same color, 4G Snapdragon version, loving it since day one. Small issues here and there but most of them are fixable or just forgettable. I also use GCam with it and it just works so well, especially the selfies look incredible. Love the software as well, my first actual Samsung phone and I love it. I can only upgrade and get a S23 or just stick with it and I don't want to pay for that, I don't need it.

Watching this on S20 FE with the snapdragon. This is the best phone that I ever had for that price. It is still really smooth and everything just works. The battery is also not bad. Still probably gonna have it for a year or two.

S20 fe was the last price/performance phone by samsung, there isn't even a competition after this phone is released, and goes on after a few years. Samsung made a mistake by releasing this complete package with proper pricing, and stops this behavior after this phone. Sadly, Samsung acts like the apple nowadays...

Very informative video. I've been using an S20 FE for around three years. It's been a great phone. I use my phone a lot, and it's not uncommon for me to have to charge it two or three times during the day. Since the phone is no longer being supported with software updates, I'm considering upgrading to an S24+ after the S25's launch, to take advantage of a discounted price.

I got the S20 FE back in 2020 and it has served me pretty well. Unfortunately, the past few months I have been dealing with charge port issues (I work construction and it would often get clogged). I finally switched to an S24+ today. Though my S20 probably still has a lot of life left and I could get the port fixed, which I may do and keep it as a back up phone.

The best thing about this phone is expandable storage! I am so upset new phones don't have any SD card slots!

Well made video! I've had the 5G version since December 2020 and it's been great overall. Battery life is still good enough for me, but that's very subjective. The back has started to separate from the frame in places so it's probably not waterproof anymore, but I'm not too worried about that. I'm only considering replacing it because it will stop getting security patches in a few months. I'll keep using at least until the end of 2024 and then we'll see.
