Yes, you can. It has a cap end closure on one side of the spike, and a female hose connector on the other side. Cap can be removed to connect an additional unit.

Bought it, it's amazing and perfect!
The settings are epic.
BUT, the switches & motor are cheap chinese thin plastic that will 100% break on brittleness.

How far does the water stream travel, i.e., 20ft, 30ft, etc.?

I had mine for awhile used it last summer but I set it up today alongside with a timer.It cane on at the Desired time set but the Oscilltaiing for some reason wasn't working.It go back and fourth and then it just appeared to be stuck rather than Oscillating.Any idea as to what could've caused that?

Is it better then a normal metal sprinkler that just tossed water in a 360 motion?

No, I don‘t like this Sprinkler at all! It is a silly gadget, a toy. In my case it was a terrible waste of money. I use the much cheaper rainbird more powerful sprinkler. Yes, they just spray in only a circular motion, but with way more coverage!
