That confused the hell out of me !
I had just stripped down my old 2012 macbook and replaced the cpu thermal paste, put it back together and put this video on to test the audio out....
No sound aarrgh.... I was sure it had "bonged" on boot up, I was sat there puzzled and about to take it apart again when I suddenly heard your "turn the microphone on"

Yeah, Kester is great, It wont be the cheapest but it will be proper solder and top quallity.
Get the lead version with 285 flux type that's Rosin Mildly Activated (RMA) for general soldering of new parts.
If you're reworking really old and large through-hole components that have oxidized you'll probably want to go for (RA) instead. It's the same as RMA but more aggressive and good for oxidized/corroded parts. If you use RA on little SMD stuff you must wash it off with flux-clean or IPA. It's a bit too corrosive to leave on small delicate pcbs or parts.

Asleep at the time, but if you want a C920 to focus, write focus on a scrap of paper and hold it up to the camera. That's what I do..and it really does work.

i found it interesting your point about how changing formats can ruin a channel. on a tangent, I reckon that’s what happened to facebook. they created a platform that people accepted and then tried to integrate so many other platforms content delivery style in turn becoming a huge mess

My watercooler radiators/fans coated in fluff & grime Temp GPU b4 was 34 idle Now a low 26cel Cool man .
