I see people complaining about IDEs here. Lol, back when I started learning Java, all I had was a text editor and a terminal window open before me. I don't think the use of different IDEs should be a hurdle to learning. Anyways, I do prefer NetBeans over Eclipse because it's plain simple to use...no additional junk.

it doesn't give the option to create web.xml in case of eclipse
