Eröffnung Volvo Art Session

Am Donnerstagabend wurde die Volvo Art Session mit einer Vernissage und rund 300 geladenen Gästen feierlich eröffnet. Während Markenbotschafterin Melanie Winiger und Künstlerin Blanda Eggenschwiler durch den Abend führten, sorgte Marc Sway mit einem Showcase für musikalische Unterhaltung. Als Highlight des Abends enthüllte der schwedische Künstler Erik Johansson die grösste 3D-Installation der Schweiz: Vor einer durchbrochenen Wand -- so scheint es -- stürzt ein Volvo XC60 metertief in den Abgrund. Die zweite Illusion zeigt den Blick vom Dach des Zürcher Prime Tower hinunter auf die viel befahrenen Hauptverkehrsadern Zürichs. Erik Johansson versteht es wie kein zweiter, Fotografien so zusammenzufügen, dass Realität und Illusion auf unheimliche Art und Weise verwischen. Die 3D-Illusionen sind noch während der gesamten Dauer der Volvo Art Session im Hauptbahnhof Zürich zu sehen.

On Thursday evening, the Volvo Art Session was opened with an opening evening and around 300 invited guests. While brand ambassador Melanie Winiger and artist Blanda Eggenschwiler hosted the evening, Marc Sway took care of the musical entertainment with a showcase of his songs. As the highlight of the evening, Swedish artist Erik Johansson unveiled the largest 3D installation in Switzerland: In front of an opened-up wall -- or so it appears -- a Volvo XC60 has crashed metres deep into an abyss. The second illusion shows the view from the roof of the Zurich Prime Tower down onto Zurich's numerous transport arteries. Erik Johansson knows like no other how to merge photographs so that reality and illusion eerily become blurred. The 3D illusions will be on display throughout the duration of the Volvo Art Session in Zurich's Main Station.

La découverte de la plus grande installation 3D de Suisse réalisée par l'artiste suédois Erik Johansson a marqué l'un des moments forts de la soirée: devant un mur défoncé, un Volvo XC60 semble se précipiter dans le vide. La seconde illusion montre la vue plongeante du toit de la plus haute tour de Zurich sur les principaux axes de circulation de la ville et leur intense trafic. Comme aucun autre, Erik Johansson sait manipuler les photographies pour créer une confusion dérangeante entre réalité et illusion. Ses illusions en 3D restent visibles pendant toute la durée de la Volvo Art Session dans la gare centrale de Zurich.
