I got some issues installing Pinnacle Game Profiler on Windows 10.

Just letting everyone know the pinnacle game profiler exe from the official website contains a virus that will open a minimised Firefox browser that will be accessing NSFW websites and can also cause you to loose your desktop access completely leaving you with a black screen and no way to get it back other than to restart Windows. This guide did get it working for me but then I found out this information and only just realised it was pinnacle that was causing these problems on my pc. Hope someone else sees this and thinks twice. The developer died and the website got hacked and this is the result, shame because the software used to be great.

If you installed Pinnacle Game Profiler and it tries to start but can't due to data files, you need the PublicData files for it to work located in C:\ProgramData\PowerUp Software\PublicData.

Anyone know how to get it to completely uninstall? I don't have the virus, presumably, as I downloaded it years ago when it was still a legitimate program. Uninstalled it a while later, but I can't seem to get the last traces off my computer--everything is gone that I can find, but it still shows in my list of programs. When I hit uninstall, though, it says error starting C:/Program in a RunDLL popup.

I was trouble shooting the hell out of this for 3 hours.
It's strange how it stopped working properly after Febuary 2018.
I haven't used PGP in almost 2 years but I never came across this bug before until now.
Only bug I've came across and truly hated was when I recieve a dialog box for a update and I proceed to update then after that I try to reopen the program and it never opens and continues to crash.
So the only solution was to reinstall PGP from scratch and next time a update pops up never update via their updater.
But now that PGP is practically dead.

I'm amazed how this bug came about..

I had to do 1 extra step: running the last created shortcut as admin, then it worked. Thanks a lot for the help!

For me the Runasdate did not work.
However this solution did:
1. Before installing the PGP, set manual system date and time to something like 01.01.2018. 00:01.
2. Install the PGP, but do not launch it right of the bat, just close the installation.
3. Set PGP properties to Windows 7 compatibility mode and to run as administrator for all users.
4. Launch PGP and then fill your serial information.
5. Shutdown the software and set back to current your date and time.
6. Enjoy! PGP should now work without a problem.

Yeah, didn't work. Do I actually have to have the PAID version? Cause I just downloaded it from their website. And the app loads up for a split second. Then nothing happens.
