The Crazy Switch Sales Continue...It's Time To Admit What The Switch Really Is

The Nintendo Switch has continued to break sales records over the last year and now the NPD report for April has come out and it looks like the Switch is not slowing down despite an uncertain year for Nintendo. I think at this point it's time to admit what the Switch is.

I've bought the Switch for myself and my wife. I buy most of my games for the Switch and just buy games for my wife that I know she'll love (Pokemon and Animal Crossing). Every night we watch Netflix and both play games on the Switch in handheld mode. I've always been a Nintendo fanboy and can't wait to see how well the Switch does after we finally get Metroid Prime 4, No More Heroes 3, and the next Donkey Kong!

Not only the hardcore gamers. I was a master race PC gamer for almost 25 years and quit (yes I am old) a few years ago because I got tired of sitting at the same desk all the time, and building my machines. I spent some time playing old PC games on the iPad until my son in law recommended the Switch. After laughing at the idea he let me test his. Yeah, bought one and regret nothing. Absolutely awesome.

What's more crazy about MK8 Deluxe... It is an evergreen game that's from the Wii U game that's already 6 years old! Let this sink in...when MK8 was first released on Wii U... We haven't even got BotW reveal yet.

The Walmart near me is full of Switch Lite's but not a single regular Switch. And almost all the games are gone

I love the Switch. It made me fall back in love with video gaming again. My favorite console of all time. It found the sweet spot to appeal to casual gamers, Nintendo fans and dedicated gamers. The hybrid nature is truly groundbreaking.
