I really think Geeta will have a much bigger role in the second part of the dlc. It's called the Indigo Disc and Geeta's aesthetic is mostly that color along with her ace Glimmora. I think that's not the true form of the turtle legendary and it is truly an eldritch monster like people were saying. I just think Geeta knows far more than what she lets on.

I didn’t even realize for Ogerpon that it was showing off a bit of its face💀 I just assumed the mask was it’s face😂. I hope Arven, Penny, and Nemona come with us especially Arven. I wonder if they will reveal what Pokémon attacked Arven and Mabostiff in the DLC.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR AREA ZERO
but kitakami looks like it's rich with folklore and will be a treat to explore!

I think I figured out one of the most important places we'll be visiting near the end of the DLC, and it's in the base map, just like they did in the Sword and Shield DLC:

It's called The Treasure Of Area Zero, meaning we'll finally see the treasure within area zero itself. There's one place in it that confuses me more than the rest of Area Zero. Just before the third research lab, you can find an entrance to a cave of sorts. This cave has a weird design carved into the ground that can be seen better from higher up. I think that design is actually a door planted in the ground that can be opened up to the treasure itself after doing something specific in the DLC areas.

I don't think Ogrepon presumably being a grass-type really block Okidogi from being one, considering we also had a similar example with both Calyrex and Galarian Articuno being Psychic-types in the same DLC-wave. Although I guess there's not much reason for it being grass-type aside from it having green as its secondary color... also, for Okidogis name, "ooki" also means "big" in Japanese, so considering how buff it is, that might also play into its name.

I think the "pink bands" are based on Shimenawa. Which is basically rice straw (or hemp) rope that's used for ritual purification.

But I know people are not happy about school uniforms and wish for more customization, well at least we got it now, since we're not technically attending school. lol

Hey @Munch, I have a theory!!

I feel like Terapagos is one of those Lion Turtles from 'Avatar: LOK & Avatar: TLA' that carried different types of benders throughout the world. Each turtle carried or hoisted a different types of elements to bend. This could totally be a thing in Pokemon - where they carry people, swim around, and give Pokemon their typings. Imagine that! Terapagos, the Lion Turtle who gave typings to Pokemon.

That would be hella cool.

I wouldn’t be surprised that the land the Teal mask takes place in, since it’s heavily Japanese culture influenced, is connected to Kanto, Johto, and Sinnoh. I don’t think it’s Kalos connected at all. Doesn’t seem like they are gonna do anything with that walled off area in the top right corner of the map which I do think is Kalos connected; but I could be wrong.

I think Terapogos will change its typing based on the field conditions active during the battle. Just like how the Finches and other animals on the Galapogos Islands were discovered to have gained different properties depending on their diets and surroundings, I think its ability could allow it to change its typing depending on what weather or effects are active on the field. Examples: Sandstorm: Changes to Ground-Type. Harsh Sunlight: Changes to Fire-Type. Rain: Changes to Water-Type. Electric Terrain: Changes to Electric-Type. Misty Terrain: Changes to Fairy-Type. Thoughts?

in the preorder the estimated dates for the releases are:
Part 1: December 31st 23
Part 2: April 30th 24
these definitely arent the real release dates, theres no way they are releasing this late, definitely an estimate

I think Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will have something to do with the DLC - after all, the raid events aren't here for much longer. My tin hat theory is that Ogerpon is the "person" meantioned in the Scarlet/Violet book. Heath writes that he met someone one before blacking out, and when he came to he had all this new writing in the book he can't remember. I wonder if Ogerpon and it's crystal mask had anything to do with it. AND I'm convinced that the Monkey/dog/bird trio in part 1 have different forms. The masks that represent them at the festival look wildly different

Kitakami is the name of a river in Iwate prefecture Japan; which is located in Honshu (Japan’s main island). In geological terms it’s north of the Kanto region and south of Hokkaido (aka Sinnoh)…

This this location is between Kanto and Sinnoh this may indicate the return of the Sinjoh Ruins. The fact that “The Teal Mask” part of the DLC also takes place at a shrine festival gives this idea some merit as well.
————————————
It seems Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipti are all based on Yokai:

* Okidogi = The Inugami
* Munkidori = The Satori
* Fezandipti = The Karyōbinga (possibly?)
————————————
If you put the map that you see in Blueberry Academy next to the map of Kalso they match up quit well. This just might mean that Blueberry Academy is located off the coast of Kalso and we might be able to venture off to certain parts of the main land.

My guess is that Ogrepon is like a corrupted version of Momotaro, so now his animal companions are corrupted into troublemakers as well. This would then place you as the player character in the role that Momotaro had in the original myth (kid travels with animal companions to an island to stop meddlesome Oni), while the kid born from a peach is now the Ogre causing touble with HIS companions

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought the pikachu was creepy. It’s got animatronic creeper Furby vibes.

Now I know why protean and libero changed. The same reason why scald was taken away. Because Terapagos can change its type with every attack. And whatever it’s Tera type is can be changed with terablast. So for instance, it can terastalize into an ice type, take out a dragonite but then use earthquake and become a ground type when a steel gets subbed in. It’s constantly changing its type with no restrictions.

Ogrepon and the Tera Turtle were referred to as Legendaries in the Presents so that's what I'm going with.

Looking at the og picture of Terapagos, it shows really well that it comes from a different mythology which I don't remember but I do remember some of the details, apparently it has a similar chameleon-like animal in the mythology that had a sort of crystal shell, this would also play in well to the fact that chameleons can change colors which in game would correspond to Pokemon typings and it being able to change them.

Perhaps Terapagos' ability is to terrastilize into EVERY type? Meaning that they would be resistant or immune to just about every type except Rock type, making it the only type that it'd be weak to. That could potentially be broken, but it's an interesting idea!

I think Terapaggos will be similiar to Arceus in the fact that it can take any *Tera Type* before attacking a mon.
