I think people forget the CRV had these tall taillights going for them, and had even widened them before Volvo did it in 2002. Honda did it first in 95 in other countries, and it came to the U.S. in 97. Of course, Volvo was more luxurious with it.

Definitely better front end! Totally agree Honda kinda went bananas with the strange angles and fake vents.

I think removing extras from lower part of bumper makes perfect sense! But not sure about changing wheels, as originals look much better. Not everyone prefers off road style.

You are totally correct with the front air vents I would never paint them silver they look better the same color as the car although they still stick out and do not flow with the car thank you for sharing

Not a “facelift”. It’s a new model generation and a complete redesign on a new platform.

@3.44... the two frontal grills look like an exhaust outlets. I agree that remove them would clean up the front grill and would look better for sure.

One thing that Honda should consider for the 2026 CRV refresh is that instead of taillights extending into the tailgate and making an L-shape, they should extend further down, somewhat like a Pajero Sport

I like your take on it; however I wouldn't mind the "lower bar" to go up slightly when reaching the sides of the vehicle, while staying "parallel" to the bottom of the headlights
Your redesign is great as it "plants" the front, but imo it somehow "weakens" it as the "bulk" we had just before the wheel arches gives more "strengh" and a bit of "boldness" that are welcomed on a high riding vehicle.

Those little fang things that you removed really bug me, it’s frustrating that the lesser trim doesn’t have them and it looks much better for it. But it’s no dealbreaker as the whole of the car is fantastic.

Love the changes on the lower grill but lowering the corner graphics leaves a lot of flat space below the front lights and gives a strong horizontal line between the grilles. Not a huge fan of that mod.

Nothing wrong with new designs, if you want to get after market items to personalize. Honda/Acura is Swiss Army knife of vehicles and designs reflects it as Mr Honda philosophy is.

I studied car styling and own the current CRV with the "fidget spinner" rims. It wasn't my favorite design, but bought it for pragmatic reasons. This new one certainly has cleaner and more modern lines, although I don't like the weird lower grill scoops in place of fog lights and not a fan of the (Mazda-like) longer hood. Overall, I do like Honda moving away from the busy over-styled lines across their lineup, but do miss the more raked front ends and windshields.
