To anyone using virtual Desktop with the quest, if its broken for you to fix it it as easy as this

1. Be in VRchat with headset on
2. Press Left menu button
3. Select "VR" tab at Bottom
4. Click on "Controller Bindings"
5. Click "EDIT THIS BINDING"
(5.5). If it doesn't Auto select VRChat select that
6. Click on current binding "Edit" button
7. Select "Skeletons" near the middle
8. Put Left & Right hand on "Unused"
9. Press close at bottom then Press "Save Personal Binding"

Tada magic its working again.... something they shouldn't have ever changed....

(Extra steps)
If it still doesn't work after changing and saving it back out of steam fully and re enter VRC

FIX. THE. HANDS. The new settings have broken the hands on ALL my avatars as now ALL the fingers lean to the outside/pinky-side of the hand ... it looks like every one of my avatar has had their hands broken and re-set in an unnatural position.

I switched to legacy fingers and I cant even make a complete fist anymore or do a thumbs up, which were ALL things that worked before.

For those who had trouble with your controllers like I did, go into SteamVR bindings and under the Skeletal bindings, change them to Off/Unused and you'll be good to go. You may have to restart SteamVR for it to work.

I'm one of the many people affected by this update in a negative way, my controls have been thrown to the trash as I run off steamvr and my headset does not support hand tracking

The audacity of VRChat's developers to push out this "Input 2.0" on every VR headset as if we're all using Index controllers.
My Reverb G2 binds no longer worked one night, and I spent that whole night troubleshooting my controllers until I thought it was my SteamVR or my Mixed Reality Portal that broke but nope; it was an unwarranted and unwanted update for anyone using an out-of-date VR headset.
Please implement an option to revert to Input 1.0 or just revert it for headsets that can't take advantage of this.

Pros.

- fixes UI a little
- makes us not crash/ lag randomly
- Hey everything is perfect! (Quoted by the quest users)

Cons.

- Asks for ideas in new update
- doesn’t listen to users at all
- doesn’t remove anticheat
- doesn’t listen to community
- breaks index shit
- breaks pc shit
- makes it so the game is somehow more laggy than before the update
- adds drift for expression menus on purpose (might be pc only)
- doesn’t say “sorry” and fixes issues we hate instead says “sorry, deal with it here’s how to make it worse”
- fucks up Legacy and new finger tracking
- uses boneworks/half life alyx hand animations
- Breaks full body (vibe trackers)
- breaks virtual desktop
- fucks up gestures with index hands

Need I say more?

i never had a issue with my vive wands on these 5 years playing on vrc until this update.

PSA: for steam vr hand tracking you either need a leap motion or virtual desktop, if you don't have either, can't use hand tracking

Update made oculus touch broken, fixed with unbinding skeletal.

Issues:
Have to remap bindings,

Made action menu movement some what broken, has to be one handed movement,
or else you cannot move without it.

Thus including, cannot press mic button or do stuffs while on action wheels.

Cannot make fist gesture without setting it properly.

To fix it just go unbind Skeletal in SteamVR bindings for VRChat
enable Legacy fingers
and disable some fingertracking settings in control settings panel

Simplifying this... You guys successfully broke stuffs that doesn't need... that much of improvements?
At least performances are indeed... some what better

Shit, i cant play the game anymore. I got no other way to play then with the hand travking😢 you broke the game for me. Cant use the utility wheel, cant use menu. Cant use anything. Even my FBT doesn’t work anymore. Fix that please

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm using a VIVE controller.
Since this update, my movement has slowed down significantly. Thanks to this, I can't enjoy any game contents in VR at all. And the Vr controller's pad is used to express my emotions, and I don't know what fucking you guys touched, but it turned into a finger, an emotional expression, and an unnatural one.

I use a quest 3 with Virtual desktop for pcvr, the game decided I have handtracking and it's broken as hell. I don't want the game to use whatever data it pulled out of its ass to mimic my hands, and I can't turn it off. Everything else in this update is great, but good sin is the stupid hand tracking a steaming pile of trash for anyone who doesn't want it

I would love to read those "Rare Crashes" that are so mentioned
The transparency to show em wasn't enough imo.
As I am probably one that has a rare crash with my Pimax where it would crash and cant even find out what its causing it
VRC, Steam or Pimax itself.
