😂😂😂. There is no way they will succeed. You disconnect 1000 today and tomorrow 2000 will be connected by Citi power officials. Ask me...been there...seen that.

City power contractors are the ones who connect folks after disconnection, including in the suburbs. Two weeks ago I reported a city power contractor, got picture of his job card and blank work order who had come to re-connect a neighbor after hours on a weekend. They must deal with this in the suburbs too. This particular suburban home that was being illegally connected has rooms with over 10 tenants.

All that cable being removed is what was stolen from Eskom and legal users over the past.

City Power needs to get to Kya Sands squatter camp, adjacent to Bloubosrand. Plenty electricity being stolen there. Come, show your faces there!!

About time. Why should legal connectors pay for the illegal? These people deserve electricity, but do it the same way as others do, pay to have the infrastructure, pay for your usage. They voted for the ANC, they should have seen to it that they did their job or stopped voting for them again.

One thing i know that wnt last sooner or later the connections will be back on this also happens in some suburbs and township household not only juat informal settlements and everywhere in South Africa. General Dealers no longer sell electricity iny area because no one buys it. Yes all of this is illegal and for eskom to work they need revenue and at the end of the day this is one of the major problems affecting eskom. The government should consider subsidizing electricity for households across the country because its getting expensive with the constant price hikes including petrol usually

If the electric connection is South Africans why can't they give them at least a notice to let them know after winter, in summer they will cut electricity just for Ubuntu. These are poor people.
