Hi Randy, I just wanted to check in and make sure you, your family, and friends are all okay after the tornado a few days ago.

I remeber the smell of electrical fire when my Vacuum Motor decided to burnout out of nowhere and now i cant forget that scent when the electrical cable started to melt away along while blowing a Fuse

Hey, with your confusion on the GMC Yukon. That model you were looking at was a SLT, not the Denali. The SLE and SLT trims come with the 5.3 V8 and 6-Speed (2015-2020) or 10-Speed (2021-Current). The Denali trim comes with the 6.2 V8 and 6-Speed (only on some 2015s), 8-Speed (some 2015s-2017), or 10-Speed (2018-Current). Hope this helps.

Just to comment on the LR3. Those are one of the most reliable Land Rovers. I have a similar year range rover with the same engine and transmission I've got 195k miles with minimal issues. Great cars! Land Rover gets a bad name (and for good reason LOL) but those years land rovers are very solid.

Hey Randy, look forward to my daily auto auction, rebuilds fix! A part of my day I would never miss! Thanks so much for being there! I am disabled, and I care home, and this really brightens my day!

Denalis have the 6.2 but normal Yukons have the 5.3 standard

My dad used to have a very similar Discovery 3 to that one from 2012-2018, it was a 2005 HSE model with those wheels but it was in a dark grey metallic with a beige leather interior but had the 2.7 TDV6 diesel engine (were in the UK, this engine may not have been offered in the US). It was a brilliant car and I'd very much say that it is the best car he's owned, so many good memories with that car, I'd even say it was better than the 2012 L322 Range Rover he had after it.

At 302k miles, the Frontier has done its duty. Too bad though, I would've loved to see it on the channel.

Randy the newer version of the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade all come with a 3.0l Duramax Inline-6 Turbo diesel, 5.3l Ecotec3, and a 6.2l Ecotec3 are optional. That Yukon you were looking at was a SLT which came with leather seats.

The yukon´s to my knowledge did have either 5.3 or 6.2. Keep up the great content Randy

A classmate of mine wants to get one of those Discoverys when he graduates next year to go on roadtrips, possibly even down to Africa. I told him if he’s tight on money he should probably avoid it and get something more reliable. While he is an easy learner, he doesn’t quite understand that he can’t fix electrical issues without knowing what he’s doing.

That Yukon seems like it would clean up nicely. The Cadillac version of MyLink is called CUE, and it has a reputation for being unintuitive to use. The Land Rover seems like it might be a good one too. We used to own a 2018 Volkswagen Passat SEL Premium similar to that one. Ours was white, and we had to send it back to the dealership just about 3 months later because it had electrical problems. That one seemed like it was a good car, like you said. It might be just as simple as patching a leak in the undercarriage and refilling those empty bottles, but then again, probably not.

The 6.2L V8 is only on the Denali. I think it was an option on SLT but the 5.3L V8 was standard.

Hey Randy. The 6.2 LTR only comes in the Escalade and the Denali models. All the others Yukon, suburbans and Tahoe models have the 5.3 LTR.

Hello Randy. The Volkswagen Passat is a good car. The 2019 GMC Yukon XL is a good car. You should put a bid on it Randy.

I get what your saying about the difference between the Cadillac and the GMC! I own a 2016 VW Jetta Sport 1.8T, or what I call my better driving Corolla! 😂 This car came out after VW’s “diesel gate” situation. I got mine for around $16, 000 in 2016??!! 🤯 Because of all the cost cutting my car has manual controls for most things! Very little to break! ❤ It’s quick because it light and apparently super reliable.
