I put my self through engineering college working on this ranch every summer from 1978 to 1983. I knew this land like the back of my hand. Its incredible to see what the development has become. We had names for for all of the different pastures and fields on the ranch. I believe we called this the " Wide field". The lake or trout pond was not there ( must be man made), but there were a series of beaver ponds and dams nearby. We mostly grew high quality horse hay on the ranch and boarded up to 50 horses during the summer. The entire Owl creek valley was purchased back in the early 70's from two old time ranchers/homesteaders (Sam Stapleton & Jens Christianson) by a Texas Oil tycoon (Davis?). He had hoped to build a 5th Aspen ski area called Burnt Mountain including all of the extensive base area development. He unsuccessfully fought the county and a number of environmental groups for years for development approval. Ultimately it was carved up into these 60-80 acre parcels, with much of the 1100 acres left in its natural state. The ranch house I lived and worked in has long since been demolished and scraped from the earth.

I've watched your videos for years and I've been seeing other tours of these million dollar houses. I have never until now really realized the gap in lifestyle between the kind of people who live in places like this and the rest of us. That fully stocked grocery thing is so different than how we operate. These guys probably never have to worry about expiry dates, having to choose between brands, restocking when you're running low on something, etc. they probably have a person for that ! I feel great being able to afford anything I want at the grocery store after years of studying and getting promotions, but this is on a whole another level.

I can't get over how despite the obvious expanse and luxury of the house, the interior design somehow manages to convey an unpretentious and relaxed personal style. So much unique art. So much vintage, mismatched furniture (and area rugs). Really feels like a lived in, well loved space. amazing.

Although yes, one must be a billionaire to purchase a home of this exquisite caliber, videos like this give us an opportunity to get design ideas that we can incorporate into our own homes (fixtures, color palettes, furnishings, etc.). In this way, we too get to celebrate our homes and community. Thank you, Erik!

I just love watching your videos. What makes you stand out above the rest is your attention to detail not rushing thru the rooms. You are a great guy, no pretention, someone we all would love as a friend. That helps. I sure hope you succeed beyond your dreams in everything you do. You deserve it.

I love the design of the house. It integrates into the surroundings so well without looking like an upscale lodge. The textures, the colors, the art, the furniture, it's all so thoughtful, tasteful and unique, and it all works with the acreage it sits on

For 80 mil dollars living in the middle of no where, you would want a garage that can hold atleast 5 full size SUVS, massive workstation, a few snowmobiles, and a 2 or 3 fully kitted out 4x4 snow monsters, not only 1 single FJ cruiser

Spectacular. Its the privacy and land around the home that does it for me. The home is there, but not in an obvious intruding way.

The first thing I notice about the great room is - none of the furniture works well together. It looks like a terrible mishmash of stuff and not in a good way.

Property price: $80, 000, 000
Down payment: 20% of $80, 000, 000 = $16, 000, 000
Loan amount: $80, 000, 000 - $16, 000, 000 = $64, 000, 000
Interest rate: 6.90%
Loan term: 30 years
Monthly mortgage payment: approximately $426, 183.19
Therefore, to comfortably afford the property, your yearly income would need to be approximately $17, 047, 327.56

That place has incredible finishes. It is a huge home, but it feels so warm and cozy. I love the rust colors against contemporary art. The kitchen was my favorite spot in the home. Privacy and functionality. Fantastic!! I love this place. ❤
