Instead of blaming Walmart, she instead should be asking herself, "what have we as a community through culture and policy done to create a climate that deters business?"

So Walmart "dropped the ball" That's rich. It's always someone else's fault.

Its amazing how these places think they are entitled to have stores yet steal massive amounts from them

"Where did they drop the ball". I'll tell you where. By making the mistake of putting the walmart in your community. Now let's talk about where YOU dropped the ball. You dropped it by creating a community that deters business. You cannot solve your community's problems until you learn to have some self inspection and take ownership of your decisions.

She's blaming the store not the people stealing them blind daily. The Unmitigated Gall of these people.

Walmart is a business. They can only endure losses for so long before needing to make the decision to close shop. Target closed stores too a couple years ago. I shopped at two of the four Walmarts closing down and they were pretty busy. I suspect the closing Walmarts had plenty of revenue but weren't profitable due to theft. I personally witnessed one shoplifting incident.

"make some noise by protesting" like that will scare them into staying

You voted for this, Kim won’t prosecute, now deal with it!

They can protest all they want, but Walmart is in business to make a profit not in business to run a charity. If they want to keep big business in their wards then they should keep crime down by enforcing laws and consequences

"Where did they drop the ball" I'll tell you where, , , , , building a big box store in the middle of a shoplifting infested culture in the first place and trying to give it a chance. NOW folks will have to find another store to shoplift within walking distance.

Wally didnt drop the ball, they had it stolen.

"Make Some Noise By Protesting" That's the only thing some people are good for so they can get something for nothing.

The companies are leaving quicker than the citizens, didn’t think that was possible?

Did she say the retailers need to stop and see where they dropped the ball. This is madness

As someone who did Loss Prevention, there can only be so much loss of profits, compared to the total store profits before they just up and leave. Usually the people that complain about security measures are the ones that are stealing. Walmart would have to bank on taking a huge loss in the HOPES the community fixes itself, and the win/lose ration is higher in wins. If its coming out loses every quarter each year, they aren't gonna stay. There's no benefit if you're losing money just being there. No one takes into account, the details of how much it costs a business to just be there. Building, licenses, insurance, assets, payroll, property rent, power consumption, etc.

Why do none of these reports by legacy media mention the looting, theft and armed robberies that are one of the major reasons for the stores moving out?

genghismccann

Theft is 100% the reason.
The community needs to ask why they think they can loot
