TRAIN DRIVER'S VIEW: From autumn in Voss to winter at Finse

Testing out the smacking brand new GoPro 8. It had a weird issue between Voss and Urdland, but it worked fine from Urdland and over the mountain. The issue did not return the next next following days.

There are some vibrations in the image due to the lack of image stabilization at 4K 60fps Linear, but this is supposed to be added and available in the November update of the camera firmware. Have done some adjustments to the rig to compensate for the vibrations.

The difference between the lowland and the mountain is becoming more and more stark with autumn here and winter up there.

What a harsh environment this train travels through. I love following the video on my other screen using Google satellite view of the track to get an overall view of the area the train passes. Thanks for the wonderful journey. I don't think I will ever get to physically visit Norway so these videos are a great way to go on a virtual trip there.

Once a year i do one day trip on my mountain bicycle. I start from Flåm 8 morning, going up to Finse and Haugastøl and riding back the same way and finishing my ride about 11 at night. All together about 160km distance in one day. My favorite bike trip. 😊

Great vidoe as always HCG. Many thanks for posting it. That GoPro8 certainly handles the transition between low light in the tunnels and the sudden change to daylight. The track boundaries are looking strange now that the trees have been harvested but the autumn colours are astounding. Wonderful Norway...
