Our adventure began on Instagram when Simon aka Chippy looked up #fruitarian and was magnetized by Tina’s juicy fruit pictures. Half a year later, once in Bali, he suggested a meet-up. Inseparable since that first fruit meeting, together they became insatiable in the hunt for the rarest best-tasting fruits on the planet.

We call it ‘Velaga ‘ Fruit in Telugu. You can eat it with salt & sugar. Can make chutney etc. There is a saying in Telugu. That says, elephants eat these fruits in one gulp and they came out in the same shape but if you break them, there will be hollow.

Mix it with coriander, mustard oil, mustard( kasundi), coarse sugar and pink salt(bitnun) and chilli. It's the best snack type fruit salad you might have ever eaten.

In Viet Nam, we usually mix it with sugar and crushed ice. Super fresh and tasty. Also use this fruit to make wine (dip cracked fruit in white wine for about 3 months inside a tightly covered valse), wood apple wine is really good for improving immune and digestive system.

What a delightful woman, I enjoy watching her, and her family enjoy exotic fruits from wherever it is that they're living at.

If I ever gonna eat this, I will make sure I don't pick it from the ground where there are many cows nearby around, just to make sure I don't pick the 'wrong' thing.

I am from India and I live in bengal
That fruit you are eating is very famous in bengal and even in Bangladesh. That is called " BEL " in bengali and if you roam around in the villages you can find them very often around you. 😀

In Tamilnadu we mix the flesh with coconut and jaggery and smoothly crush it with a large spoon and then it comes out little watery and beautifully mixed up and it tastes awesome!! Very very very healthy and at the same time tasty fruit!
