Όρμα Αριδαίας - Πέλλα

Η Όρμα βρίσκεται στα σύνορα της Ελλάδας με τη Βόρεια Μακεδονία δίπλα στα Λουτρά Πόζαρ. Παλαιότερα ονομαζόταν Τρέσινο. Η ονομασία του χωριού οφείλεται κατά μια εκδοχή στην ομώνυμη αρχαία μακεδονική πόλη που τοποθετείται στην ευρύτερη περιοχή, ενώ σύμφωνα με άλλη από τα νερά του ποταμού που ξεχύνονταν ορμητικά μέσα από το βουνό.

Διακρίνεται για τη φυσική ομορφιά του, περιτριγυρισμένο από πράσινο και φυσικά νερά. Ο πληθυσμός της είναι 641 κάτοικοι (απογραφή 2011). Βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του όρους Βόρας (Καϊμακτσαλαν) προς το χιονοδρομικό κέντρο του οποίου υπάρχει δρόμος. Κατά τη διαδρομή αυτή βρίσκεται η περιοχή Καλύβια Γιανακούλα. Αποτελεί το δεύτερο τουριστικό προορισμό της Αλμωπίας μετά το Λουτράκι, διαθέτοντας εστιατόρια,ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια, ξενοδοχεία απαρυθμόντας συνολικό αριθμό κλινών 620. Η κεντρική πλατεία του χωριού είνα γεμάτη με πλατάνια. Η εκκλησία του χωριού είναι αφιερωμένη στον Άγιο Νικόλαο αλλά πανηγυρίζει στις 27 Οκτωβρίου του Αγίου Νέστορος. Οι κάτοικοι του χωριού εκτός του τουρισμού ασχολούνται με τη γεωργία και κυρίως με την παραγωγή κερασιών, κάστανων, κοκαριών και ροδακίνων.

Μετά τον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο και τον Εμφύλιο πολλοί κάτοικοι της Όρμας μετακόμισαν στην Έδεσσα. Από την Όρμα αναδείχτηκαν αγωνιστές που ακολούθησαν τον Αγγελή Γάτσο στον αγώνα του 1821, Μακεδονομάχοι καθώς και άτομα που σκοτώθηκαν στις μάχες του εμφυλίου. Τον Ιούνιο του 1908 το χωριό καταστράφηκε σχεδόν ολοσχερώς από επίθεση Βουλγάρων κομιτατζήδων. Σήμερα αποτελεί τουριστικό θέρετρο, 2 χλμ. Ν.-ΝΑ. από τα Λουτρά Πόζαρ.

The name of the village is due, according to one version, to the homonymous ancient Macedonian city that is located in the wider region, while according to another from the waters of the river that flowed down the mountain.

It is distinguished for its natural beauty, surrounded by greenery and natural waters. The population is 641 inhabitants (2011 census). It is located at the foot of Mount Boras (Kaimaktsalan) towards the ski center of which there is a road. During this route is the area of Kalyvia Gianakouli. It is the second tourist destination of Almopia after Loutraki, with restaurants, rental rooms, hotels, totaling 620 beds. The central square of the village is full of plane trees. The church of the village is dedicated to Saint Nicholas but celebrates on October 27th of Saint Nestor. The inhabitants of the village, apart from tourism, are engaged in agriculture and mainly in the production of cherries, chestnuts, acorns and peaches.

After World War II and the Civil War, many residents of Orma moved to Edessa. From Orma, fighters emerged who followed Aggelos Gatsos in the struggle of 1821, Macedonian fighters as well as people who were killed in the battles of the civil war. In June 1908, the village was almost completely destroyed by an attack by Bulgarian komitadjis. Today it is a tourist resort, 2 km N.-E. from the Pozar Springs.
