Loved the Concorde, as a young man i made "parts" marked secret but also had Concorde on the paperwork. I worked in both the aero parts Industry also Rolls Royce Industrial Marine applications. Loved my work, proud of it still.

My 5 year old is absolutely obsessed with concorde after seeing the one at Manchester airport. Cant blame him tbh as its an amazing machine and technology took a step backwards when these aircraft were retired.

The only time I saw the Concorde (other than in photos and videos) made for a very dramatic sight. I was in the town of Windsor, about 8 miles west of Heathrow. It was early in the morning, and on that day there were little puffy, scattered broken clouds at a fairly low altitude. The plane would pass through a cloud and reappear, then pass through another cloud and reappear. There was something about the interaction of plane and clouds that made the Concorde look like a spaceship or a UFO. Unforgettable sight.

Very lucky to have my first posting to RAF Little Rissington and detached to Kemble. For a couple of weeks from the end of October, we moved to Fairford, where we got to see ‘Old Smokey’ operating. Great stuff.

They should come back with a new and updated version of the Concorde. 🤞

Saw Concorde fly over the house high in the sky with its unmistakable wing shape, and Mom was excited, shouting "Concorde!" over and over in the back garden. This was back in the 1980's. There was British Airways and also Air France Concorde. Concorde was a British and French supersonic airliner engineering collaboration effort.

@Spark: Thank you for this epic video; reflecting and recognizing how truly exceptional The Concorde was before its unfortunate forced retirement.

I feel that the anger in the U.S. about concord was more to do with the cancellation of the America attempt at SST flight.
The concord was in fact no more noisy than a 747 on take of and landing.
I am mpre than disapointed that both Gt.Briton and France decided not to carry on down that path, i wonder just how this would have played out had they both continued down that path.
If nothing else, this was the most beutiful aircfaft ever designed, it even looks like a bird.
A real huge step in technology and mans ambition to move forward.

Even as 2024, 21 years after retired of service the speedbird looks like the future of aviation, a past nostalgic future.

Fun fact: The British Airways Concorde from 46:13: to 46:33 was GBOAA (Golf Bravo Oscar Alpha Alpha) which is situated at the Museum of Flight near Edinburgh

I experienced a Concord take off fly over in Scottsdale AZ. I do not think it was unusually noisy and as I recall it rather quiet.

THE ENGINE CONFIGURATION REMINDS ME ALOT OF THE B1-B LANCER'S ENGINE CONFIGURATION

The Museum of Flight, Tukwila, WA, is home to the last Concorde on the West Coast, last British Airways in the US

A Plane in search of Customers..As by the time they were complete. They outlawed Breaking the Sound Barrier over land.. Which limited it too Airports. That could handle it..
