Little Golden Books have been around for nearly 80 years. After some painstaking examination of the construction, I've developed an easy way to recreate the same binding method, no sewing required!

OMG that is so cute! Definitely want to attempt this for my grandkids.
I have to say the ideal of making a book made me think of Home Economics in JR High. We had to make a children's book. I remember writing a story about a little boy named Mark that loved trains and got to ride on one. I drew the pictures, made up the story, and my cover was made from fabric. Oh that was a life time ago. I was so proud of my book too.

I had The Pokey Little Puppy as a child so I do fondly remember Golden Books. Thank you for reverse engineering the structure. I love it!

My boys loved my stories of my childhood on the farm when they were little, maybe my stories can come to life with these little books for my new granddaughter. How do you do the illustrations and print the pages? What a great idea!

It drives me crazy when the crafters put so much junk on the front that it hides part of it. This was amazing. FYI, if you take a heat gun and slowly melt the glue on the original spine it will come right off and you can reuse it on the spine. Plus that opens up the heavy duty staples that you can reuse the pages in their entirety. Thank you for this video, and all you do.

It’s a “Little, Little Golden Book”. Then there’s “First Little Golden Book” which are roughly 5x6, standard “Little Golden Book” which are roughly 6x8. Plus others…they’re so fun. I can’t wait to make my own!

I had the counting book. But it was a large book. Like, full sheet copy paper size.

Oh Nik, I gotta say your little golden book "All you need is a cat", it's so darn cute. Loved it. Thanks for sharing your time and inspirations. I pray that you are doing well young lady. I just hit 62 years old yesterday, yeah - notice I said hit, somedays it feels like I've hit a brick wall. But I just gotta keep getting up and one of these days I'll go around that darn brick 🧱, LoL. I appreciate all that you do. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

So cute! I want to make one, or more, with my cousins kids when they get a little bit older. Perhaps we can make up a story together. :) Thanks so much for this tutorial!

Very cute! I love miniature things. I wonder how small they can go. I also like the idea of making a book like this with the usual junque journal innards. Lots of possibilities. Yes, I had a good weekend. I became a septuagenarian on Sunday. I’ve been thinking a lot about my 70-year-old parts. My eyes, my fingers, my kidneys: all way, way old. I think I should’ve taken better care of them
