So for anyone wondering about this a company can switch to dual class share system to retain control over the voting of the company. This takes a majority board vote and a couple other things, however it does not decrease the value of people holding class A shares. Class B shares can the be transferred to the board to keep control of the company. Essentially mark and the other share holders switched the structure of the company while not allowing their partner to switch his shares. This doesn’t decrease the value, but makes it where the company pretty much voted him out.
