On August 14th 1992, I boarded AMTRAK in Martinez California for a three day train trip to Harrisburg Pennsylvania. It was my first time across the country, ever. I was thirty.
After a five hour wait at the Harrisburg bus-train station with my bags and blanket wrapped musket, a couple of my California pards drove up to get me from Gettysburg after the hospital scene wrapped up for TNT's mini series "Gettysburg". That was on a Sunday. The next morning "Pickett's Charge" filming week commenced.
Listen for the Spanish trumpet near the end of Pickett's charge. That long black haired confederate leveling off his musket to discharge a Virginia load, is me. #thekillerangels #pickettscharge #gettysburg
