Greece’s conservative party wins big in national election

Greece's governing conservatives have won a landslide victory in parliamentary elections.
With most votes counted, the New Democracy party has a commanding lead over left-wing rival Syriza.
But it has fallen short of the majority needed to form a government on its own, making a run-off election likely in July.

SYRIZA the left wing opposition lost again everywhere in Greece... except in prisons . they took most of the votes of the prisoners ...
So you understand why they lost again . from 2016 they have lost every single election in the country . (national, municipality, workers unions and students elections )

Very good choice. I have never felt as good about Greek politics and a good steeringwheel in the country as in the last years and now. Greece shows it also. Read the many articles in so many regards about Greece. It is growing fast, it is improving in various ways, it's making strong reforms and draws a lot of investments. And some people are STILL having to feel this growth down below in the society. Yes, I am aware of that. But make no mistake that the county as a whole is making strong steps in the right directions. It's general debt is getting lower in a strong way like never before among many other things.

People in the video call the train disaster and the forest fire. YES that is not good, but if you look at how much positive points Mitsotakis has already brought, you can't use the train crash as some all encompassing metaphor for everything else. The trains where also like this before Mitsotakis. A few years of governning can't reform Greece 5000%. But a few years of governing has NEVER been as good as it has been in the last years. Under Mitsotakis things have happened in such a fast positive pace than ever before and Im 100% sure the next years will bring more great things that MORE and more people in all classes start to feel.
Yes the high cost of living with inflation is also not a thing Mitsotakis can magically heal. Newsflash. The entire world is dealing with it. But no. Sometimes as the average Greek you are unable to see that and blindly see it as something Mitsotakis should just be able to fix, like a mother trying to change your diapers. So no. Mitsotakis is not a god. But Mitsotakis will bring Greece further to finally get to a situation that eventually is better for Greece as a whole, and THAT has already happened, and will only be reaffirmed more.

Im Dutch. I live in the so-called best nation in Europe, likely regarded as the wealthiest nation per capita according to some recent articles. But the average Dutch citizen is absolutely not feeling it like that. So if any Greek feels their life somehow hasn't changed, it's not like we don't have the same problems in the Netherlands comparably. We have higher income, but higher costs for literally everything. Meaning, the grass in the Netherlands as a wealthiest nation is greener than in Greece, but not bizarly greener. By no means
