Hey everyone, River here! I'm back with another track, this time it features the titular Mario and Luigi! This song is based on a classic video game creepypasta named "Super Mario World: I HATE YOU!". I had a fantastic idea and decided to adapt this song into a quick roughly 4 minute long Friday Night Funkin' song. I had a blast making this, and I hope you have a blast listening as well, as I am quite proud of this FNF quickie! Remember to subscribe and like the video if you are a fan of what I do! The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?

Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. That drop into the Super Mario World Castle theme is literally ecstacy and I love it.

I know for a fact I’m over analyzing this, but this song just fits what Mario must be feeling from his brother’s betrayal. At first it’s slow and sad, much like how Mario would obviously be feeling shocked and distraught at first, but later in the song it’s intense, which is Mario going from distraught to filled with rage from Luigi’s betrayal, leading to Mario acting angrily without thinking, which causes him to kill his brother.

if you listen carefully, you can actually hear luigi *scream* in pain as he sinks into the lava, showing not just how sad his death was, but *how much pain he was in* as he sank into nothingness. I can imagine mario just watching. As his own brother sinks into the magma in agonizing pain. He *couldn't* believe what he has commited just to stop Koopa. *Killing his own brother* was the only option, since there wasn't any other choice to get to King Koopa himself.

That intro was just amazing, and then the drop... Holy crap the drop. And that's not even mentioning the other parts with the held notes!

I love how most of the song's instrumental is a consistent _Castle Theme_ leitmotif (not to mention the two dueling brothers begin singing it at 2:25!) since the story is set in _Super Mario World._ Amazing song, really digging Saster's thumbnail art for this! Outstanding job, it's pretty flippin' bussin'!

This is honestly one of my favorite IHY related songs, it's so good! The motifs are on point, the opening sets the mood just right before throwing you into this wonderful hellscape of guitars, all accented by the strings. Keep up the amazing work!
