3 things that were crucial to the improvement:
A) Speed on the basepaths with IKF and Locastro;
B) Improved defense at the plate and on the infield by getting rid of Gary and moving Gleyber to 2nd base; and
C) Cole having legit #2, 3, 4 & 5 backups.

The Yankees really hampered Gleyber’s career forcing him to play SS. He’s an above average 2B! Glad he’s back!

I think Gleyber and JD are really just back to back 2 for 3 or 2 for 4 hit type games from having some solid numbers they are both showing flashes of things to like but they just need to find a little more consistency and the numbers will round into form.

Locastro is a game changer in the lineup. Yankees should trade Gallo for prospects or further deepen our bullpen.

It's clearly too early to even suggest the possibility but wouldn't it be incredibly awesome to see a return matchup in the WS btwn the Mets and Yankees given how well both teams are playing and their respective current standings you can't fault me for contemplating that scenario!

With all the balls that Anthony Rizzo has hit that have just barely gone over the short porch in right field in Yankee Stadium for home runs, it just blows my mind that this team was constructed for the beginning of the 2021 season with Aaron Hicks slated as the only guy who was going to hit from the left side of the plate.

Been a great start. The offense is a concern. They disappear for long stretches of time. They get dominated by good and sometimes even mediocre pitching. Need to get another impact bat before the playoffs.

Hard to argue about success for sure. They are playing "team baseball" finally! However, if they really want to impress fans PUT A DAMN DOME ON THE "NEW" Stadium. Enough with the rainouts every May and June. Today and possibly Sat looks like two rainouts after a day off. Way to cool them off Steinbrenner. No fan or player enjoys a rainout especially when you could have not signed Stanton and Hicks and paid for one helluva great dome. It rains in the city almost every two days in May and June, and it's freezing in your computers say about "Analytics or leave" as told to Boone by Mr. Cashman.
