February 1st is National Freedom Day. That day honors the signing by Abraham Lincoln of a Congressional resolution that later became the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Another amendment that protects your rights in a criminal case is the 8th Amendment. The 8th Amendment explicitly prohibits cruel and unusual punishments, but it also mentions excessive fines and bail.

Attorneys use this amendment in cases where we make a motion to reduce the amount of bail set by a judge and argue that is it excessive and a violation of your 8th Amendment rights.

If you or someone you know has been arrested, please call us for a consultation. Our law firm's mission is to protect you and your American dream. We take your freedom very seriously.
