The aeon has a great story, but also definitely the saddest.

Upon finding the dagger and reading the story, I realized that with aeon's ability to see through time the only reason to die in such a stupid way is to do it on purpose. So the aeon probably watched versions of future and decided that the best option was to pass his mission to an angry dwarf executioner named Oleg.

This path isn't a path about glory, and ultimately neither power. You're not supposed to have an ego. You can ascend, but a True Aeon will not care about that. You are here to bring cold justice - and peace to a world ravaged by passions. You don't really have an ego, a "self". You serve a purpose greater than you. This is why this theme sounds tragic, but beautiful at the same time. It's cold, but it's magnificent... just like the Aeons themselves. You will be remembered, or not, it does not matter. An Aeon isn't a hero, neither a god. They are the relentless logic of the universe, the universal judges, keepers of a not-so-solid order.

The whole OST is a fine masterpiece, but this one in particular stands out to me the most - the melancholy and elegance behind it is so powerful. When you are first greeted by the song, it masterfully pulls you in and adorns the whole theme of cosmic balance and time - especially the latter : note how the ticking clock beat perpetually reverberates in the same exact tempo of 1 second throughout the song, alluding to the incessant passage of time itself.

The weight of this masterpiece gets heavier the longer you play Aeon route. Like when you all of a sudden see stuff you really shouldn't see. All of a sudden everyone and yourself just becomes small and you feel zoomed out.

I remember when my character joined the aeons and swore the oath in front of the mirror. I repeated every word. Definitely one of my most personally involved and memorable playthroughs

At first, when I set foot on the path of the Aeon, it seemed to me that I was playing the role of a cooldblood cruel executioner. But the more I immersed myself and thought about the path of Aeon, I realized that Aeon is not really a judge or an executioner. Unlike other gods, heroes and entities, Aeon is truly pure and sincere in his motives, which caused me great respect.
Aeon does not punish - Aeon heals what is sick, repairs what is broken without excessive pathos, and completely to the very root of the disease. Even such unfortunate traitors as Staunton - able to find redemption and endure changes to the best thanks to the intervention of Aeon.

Yes, sometimes you have to sacrifice something small to save more. But Aeon does not hide the need for this sacrifice under a veil and hypocrisy. When passing judgment, Aeon will never say - "I'm sorry... I don't want to do this, but I have to..." in order to just make himself look better - Aeon does not look for excuses, because Aeon is always truthful.

It may looks a bit scary... but it's scary to the point of awe.
I remember how Irabeth said to Commander something like - "There is something strange in you, cold, but not evil, inspiring hope".

When i first started my campaign, my intention was to follow the Lich path. But when i heard this music, i instead chose the Aeon. I cant remember a time when a single music changed my perspective of thing just like this. Absolutely beatiful
