I’m from Holmes County but live in Florida now. You must have made quite a splash there, plenty of folks knew there was a famous guy roaming around documenting. Heck I heard about it all the way down here. Had to find it and watch. You did my hometown proud, Peter.

Pretty sure an amish Guy with a selfie stick and a camera is the worst disguise ever.

This YouTube channel is better than the Travel Channel. More authentic and immersive.

Friend of mine put his car in a ditch one winter, the Amish hitched on and pulled him out with 2 horses, no joke 😂 very kind people and we do business with them regularly in Clare, MI.

I love Peter's city boy strut in those Amish clothes. Too funny. Like John Travolta in Saturday night live going down the street in Amish clothes. You go peter!!

I've watched the whole series on the Amish Community and I'm blown away by how happy, humble and generous everyone is. I didn't know much about the Amish before watching this, so thank you, Peter! I'm kindly jealous of their lifestyle and wish i could escape the craziness here in the UK and live a life in such a tight Community. In all seriousness I think these people live the best life in this day and age. I appreciate the way you presented the whole series without putting a spin on it but just rather inform people like me that didnt know more than what's usually mentioned about the Amish. Amazing stuff.

Peter, you make a fine looking Amish man.
When you donated the items back at the auction, I had tears. You are such a good person. Thank you and may God bless you all of your life.🙏❤️

I have yet to see someone who records and reports minorities the way Peter does.
This goes to show that fair reporting sells.
Peter, I hope you know the good that your videos does for the world by reducing hatred between groups. You are a true reporter because you are the opposite of creating drama. And because you say it as it is.
I'm sure your family is very proud.

Does anyone else feel like the Amish are doing things right….especially in the current worldly climate? I certainly do.

I swear this is one of the best, if not the best series I've seen on YT. Thank you for shining a light on the Amish community.

I love how clean and tidy all of their property, farms and stores are. You can tell they take pride in their surroundings.

I did some work in Holmes County Ohio recently and every Amish person I came in contact with treated me with the upmost respect and was extremely helpful to me. They are definitely doing things much better than we we are in general society.

You can really see how much has changed between some of your first interactions with them to now. They have really welcomed you into their lives and a big part of that comes from you being completely open to theirs. You’ve made life long friends in Brian and the Amish people, just as you did with Shloime and the Hasidic Jews. You’re living a cool life brother and you seem like a good bloke to have a couple beers with. Cheers from Australia.

I'm in the military, currently stationed in North Carolina, and I have watched every single episode of this Amish series. I'm originally from Wayne County, Ohio and while I already knew a good amount about the Amish just from interactions in daily life, this series has really made me feel like I was back home at a time when I desperately needed it. Thank you Peter for bringing me a little piece of home.

Thank you for doing all these Amish videos! I'm a Yoder and my dad was raised Amish and grew up in Holmes County. He eventually moved down to Plain City, where I was born and raised (live in Texas now). A lot of my relatives are still Amish and live in Holmes County. The Mt Hope Auction is a huge part of my childhood. They have another similar one but for kidney-related health that was actually started by my grandmother. I remember going up every year to help with food and several other things. One of my fondest memories. We spent a lot of time in Holmes County with my Amish relatives when I was young. All these videos bring back such great memories!
Also, my grandparents had a home right there in Pinecraft where you were in Florida. We would go down every spring break and stay with them.

I just love the great job you did with portraying the Amish. For so long, there have been so many shows that portray the Amish the wrong way. This definitely helps debunk a lot of myths and false information those shows have started.

Peter, it needs to be said: I found your channel through the Chassidic series, specifically the Shabbat dinner video which popped up randomly on my feed. What you’re doing is here probably the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on YouTube. What you’re providing here is what people typically have to travel for, and most of us don’t have the means or the time. And even if we can explore the world, meaningfully penetrating these communities we aspire to learn about is usually too difficult for the average traveler. I’ve learned so much about life itself learning about these different cultures. I take mental notes about every community you present; how to live more simply from the Amish, how to structure family raising from the Jewish, how to overcome environmental challenges from your Brooklyn videos, and so on. This is how we overcome cultural and religious hate. Of course these communities have their internal problems, but I’ve learned that these groups that are often punchlines in the Western world are beautiful, and there’s a reason they’ve survived. Thank you.

You have destroyed all negative stereotypes of the Amish and what we are left with is positivity and happiness. These people are amazing, thanks for your insight. I’ve made positive changes in my own life because of these people. Thanks and please make these videos longer :)
