The reason why the car turns more when trail braking, is because there's more weight on the front tires, like you said at 11:34 the nose goes down, and more weight on the tires=more grip, while at the same time, the rear gets light, less weight on tires=less grip, this weight transfer from rear to the front makes the car rotate and the steering wheel job in this situation is to guide the car through the corner entry by using small steering inputs to balance the car and prevent it from over-rotating and spinning.
This technique will not only allow you to go faster but will preserve the tires as well because you minimize the steering angle on entry.

He needs to understand that the virtual racing line is for the people who have only just started driving, and it's a safe line that usually aims at the ease of driving. However, that means it's also slow.

6:00 he is right, the brake is actually so damn weird. the pressure goes from like an accelerator to a brick wall at about 50%... I had to change the sensitivity curve for mine when I used it because otherwise it was basically impossible to be accurate with

@xQc yes your are right, braking is like an amplifier of your car steering ability, because you apply more weight on your front tires, so more grip, but it means also less weight on your rear tires, so less grip. So if you break too hard while turning, you risk to overwhelm that front grip and lose your rear grip. Btw, the reverse effect applies also when accelerating, you send your weight in the back, decreasing your front grip, so less turning abilities and if it's a rear wheel drive, you can even end up overwhelming your rear grip and spin if you turn even a little bit.
The secret is smoothness, because even small taps on your brake or gas could be detrimental, since your car is on shocks, see them as elastic, they inprove comfort and help also grip on uneven roads but complexify the grip distribution as your weight is juggling with a certain latency, and create uncertainty on what you should do with your wheel rotation. To simplify it, brake hard only in straight if necessary, if there is no straight in that precorner, create one, and trail braking or use engine braking to increase rotation. In fast corners, either coast using a very low engine braking to apply weight on your front tires or brake very smoothly.
Engine braking could also be dangerous, as you don't really control it, not as much as your breaking pedal, so it could lock your tires (either front if it's a FWD or rear of it's a RWD), and ending up with the same issue, going straight or spinning.
