Sony a6500 4K S-Log2 Handheld IBIS Test

Shot some quick shots on my Sony a6500 with various lenses over the Christmas holidays back in my home town of Blagoevgrad in Southwest Bulgaria. I intentionally shot in S-log2 in 3840 x 2160 at 25p mostly into the sun to get some flares to see how the internal footage would grade. Tried to stress the camera a few times. One of the 24-105mm shots towards the end is a bit soft, I am guessing because of the Variable ND.

Really love the footage out of the Sony a6500, sure the Rolling Shutter is bad, but the footage above is pretty stable. All of the above was shot handheld.

Lenses used:

Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 Canon EF lens
Canon EF 24-105mm f4
Sony 16mm f2.8 APS-C pancake

ND filters:

Yeah, the rolling shutter is pretty horrid on the a6500, despite the 5-axis IBIS, it's pretty much unusable for video unless you are make very subtle movements on a monopod or tripod.

Would be nice to see some walking footage or a series of pans and tilts made with the IBIS system smoothing out your shots.

The walking test is a big one when it comes to judging a gimbal, so I'm curious to see how the A6500 IBIS does when the camera is moving.
