For those coming to this video from Linux this fix also helps smooth out the framerates considerably for proton-based installs.

"smooth", "60fps" 🙃 When I buy a $1800 GPU a $500 CPU and a $1500 240hz screen it's not to play at 60 fps. All PC games should be perfectly smooth.

For me, stuttering was happening because my systems page file was not set properly (thanks newly updated win11)

Be sure to have the page file minimum set to at least half your ram, and max to at least the amount of ram you have. I went a bit over in my own system, but this game seems to really rely on properly set page files.

For me, Ryzen 5 5500 and rx6650xt, turning off FSR for some reasom greatley improved performance.

Good video, interesting about fixing stuttering by limiting FPS, more video on this would be great. I have my doubts on Reddit if it is an issue with the x3d processors. Could you check if the same thing happens with a non-x3d processor? thank you!

Interesting!
Ive noticed a few UE5 games with a frame cap of 120 and wondering this the reason?
Makes me wonder if all the 12/13th gen failures reported are happening in UE5 games!
Ive noticed a similar behavior in the helicopter ride i grayzone warfare where it tried to melt my 13700k..

lol 60fps is terrible too youll need to use vsync or gsync to compensate for the low fps on high hz monitors. wich are known to introduce other issues:P i gues ill try the 120fps

I don't think its solely the CPU usage, My 24 core 5.8ghz CPU is way more powerful than a 7800x3d, CPU usage is around 35 and lets my 4090 run 98% but still stutters unless I frame cap to 90/120 something else going on. I've heard it's the steam version.... there's a stand alone launcher right?

if the game was good i might go out of my way to get software to fix it, but id rather not lol. ill try the in game cap, but so far, if that doesnt work its not worth trouble shooting to me

i have a problem in the game and i dont know if its me or the game itself, when i go to places o tp, the game will take a minute and a half to render, buildings and cars would be lego type, and monster will float in the air and i could go through walls.
