Cortina d'Ampezzo, Dolomites, Italy

Cortina d'Ampezzo is a ski resort in northern Italy. It is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, which also includes the Passo di Falzarego with its descents. Venues from the 1956 Winter Olympics that took place in Cortina include the Ice Stadium, the Eugenio Monti Bobsleigh Track and the Trampolino Olimpico Italia. West of town there is a snow park for jumps and tricks in the Tofane. The Passo di Giau is suitable for snow kiting.
