Regular savers need the interest rate divided by 2 due to the way interest is calculated.
The First Direct one is 3.5% in real terms as I just had one finish.

Read somewhere that first direct doesn’t pay the 7% return at £252 infact they only pay out £136.50 as only the last month is paid out at the full 7% which is a shame
