lol from the 80's I love my Doors.. was totaly obsessed with Jim Morrison even though he died when I was about 6? they came out with a book called.. No one hear gets out alive.. made them so much more popular in the 80's then when Jim was alive in the early 70's.. Still say he was the most handsome man EVER!

My favorite from their debut album is THE END. Hell, it's my all time favorite song!

I absolutely love this one. It's beautiful, trippy and poetic all at the same time. Great reaction as usual. Really looking forward to the rest of their astonishing debut album.

You're talking about the organ giving you that church sound. The lyrics are amazing.

Good to see you back Biz! I can hardly wait to watch you review “The End” by The Doors. (I don’t think you have done it yet…)

The third verse gives away the song's meaning. It's about the transient nature of existence.

You gotta react to LA Woman. Probably my favorite Doors song.

Love this song. Makes me feel stoned even when I haven’t smoked. Hahaha. Soon as it comes on, I feel my eyes lower.

I waited through the whole 80s for a punk cover of this song. Now I'm waiting for a metal cover. Anybody?

"The streets are fields that never die" ... It's hard for me to say which is my favorite song on this album. I was born the year it was released and have heard the various songs on it so many times in the decades since that it's comfort music to me now, even though some of the lyrics are far from comforting. Did you notice how the two letter O's are drawn on the band's logo to resemble flathead screws? The hinges on doors were fastened to their frames using flathead screws back in the day.

Riders on the Storm is my favorite door song although Back door man is a close second.

I like your description of Morrison's voice. It's familiar but interesting. His voice draws you in even though it's not a spectacular voice like say a Tom Jones.

My favorite song from this album is Light My Fire, their biggest hit and first hit song. But the last song on this album, The End, is way up there. This album ends with a trip song. It was featured in the movie, Apocalypse Now.

Jim Morrison was never at a loss for evocative lyrics and as a singer knew how to deliver them perfectly. Plus his band mates are incredible here. I echo the calls for Riders On The Storm and add my own request for The Unknown Soldier and Five To One. Anyone who claims that 60s music is all dated, play them this and then confiscate their Hendrix, Cream, Beatles and Stones albums.

Jim Morrison was young and died young, but his was an ancient soul.

It’s great to see younger generations enjoy the music we Boomers came up on.
