A so-called "bomb cyclone" arrived in the Pacific Northwest Tuesday, bringing with it rain, wind, and mountain snow. Many agencies across the region are preparing for the storm that's expected to ramp up overnight into Wednesday morning.

At least 519,200 power outages were reported across the region as of 8:30 p.m. A high wind warning or wind advisory was in effect for most of the Puget Sound region through early Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service also issued a blizzard warning for the Cascades until Wednesday morning.

Pass travel is expected to be difficult to dangerous at times over the next 24 hours. The weather service said the Cascade passes could see between 3-7 inches of total snow accumulations by Wednesday morning, with wind gusts as high as 50 mph.

You’re basically getting the same winds we experienced in inland Tampa during hurricane Milton. I hope folks are stocked up on food, because it may take some time to clear the debris and restore power.

Thank you to pudget sound energy workers. This is why we need to pay them well.

A tree came down on our trailer and the ceiling came crashing onto my sons head, caused a mild concussion and it gashed his forehead and needed 10 stitches. Our trailer is destroyed and now we are homeless. But. Thankfully we are all alive.

Very bad in Redmond from 6 pm on last night. Went out just 10 min. from home for one hour, trying to get home was really scary, downed power lines, street closures, tree debris hitting cars, trres down. Our power is out blackout West Lake Sammamish Pkwy. Our building was litterally shaking in the wind.

It's the La nina weather just as promised. Wish the rain was more evenly distributed. Stay safe and off the road if you can. Prayers out for power and utility workers.

I heard two women died in the storm. One in lynnwood in an encampment and another while showering located in Bellevue.

Praying for the repose of their souls! 🙏

Excellent reporting. First observation. Let's send reporters out in strong windy storms in black vests and jeans with a dark hat when full bright yellow rain gear is the minimum people should be sent outside at night when the power might go out. The massive profit media can't even keep their outdoor employees safe. Again this was a great report. RIP to the woman hit by the tree.
