Sedan sales are shrinking, electrification is expanding and car costs are climbing. But what if you want a sedan that’s electrified for a somewhat lower cost, all adorned with a non-italicized “H” on the steering wheel? One possible option is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid, which was all-new for 2023. Its dressed in three trims; the EX base model which is gasoline only, plus the Sport and Touring, both hybrids.

The tester is the base Sport trim and I’ll dig into what it’s comprised of, standard features, safety, fuel consumption, the competition and pricing. The goal? To see if there’s enough value in this trim over the top Touring.

I'd rather buy the new Camry for two reasons. First, Camry looks 100 times better in and out. Secondly, their hybrid is more trustworthy and reliable.
