My dad used to live in Greece and spear fish, and while he wasn’t the best diver, he was pretty good (no tank) he went to 20m once and stayed for a minute ten seconds. For those of you who think that’s little, it’s not, it’s where the sunlight is very little down there, and while it ain’t the midnight zone, it’s all dark blue around you. It’s very hard, considering pressure and your lungs. One of his friends went to 18m once and stayed a tad bit too long and couldn’t breathe and cause of that, no energy. When they found his body it was still in the position to shoot a fish... my dad also one time saw a monster flat fish at 18m, and went up for air, when he came back down, stayed a few seconds more and started to black out, only this time he did it correctly. He dropped all his guns, his weights, everything and curled into a ball and floated back up, if he hadn’t done that I wouldn’t be typing this right now. Also in Carpanthos, there was a legend of an eel, centuries old. My dad found it and almost lost his leg. He was at 15m and he found a ginormous octopus, he hit it and went to grab it and then it grabbed him, and it was a monstrous so he got stuck there, so what he did was (he doesn’t remember it well) either he bit it’s eyes, cut it off the rock, or flipped it’s head over, anyways outa knowhere, an eel the size of his legs combined came outa nowhere, it was going for the octopus and his catches, his catches was by his... genitals...

He dropped the squid and his catches and swam like a freaking torpedo. He’s never gone back to carpanthos since then
