Показать описание
XOD is a New And Open Source Visual Programming Language For Arduino. It's a visual programming language that will allow you to build programs with nodes, which are code blocks that represent some physical device. XOD makes creating complex designs easy to implement.

I played with it a month or so ago. Back then it was limited in the examples available to learn how to benefit from it. It has potential and will only get better! Not all of us want to be master programmers. Some of us have far more ideas than time to learn the programming, electronics, hardware fabrication and everything else that's needed to bring products to market. Shortcut tools allow us to be a jack of all trades. Software app's for my electronic breadboarding, Cad/Cam software for machining parts and all the great 3D printer related software for quick prototypes! Nobody has enough time to get to know the in and out of all we do today! Long live programs like XOD...

I have always wanted to understand more about the ardurino programming its looks like it will help.
Thanks for the great videos.
More on this will help.

Good for beginners and non-programmers. And can get better and better everyday a lot of rooms to go.

Looks neet. I have a uno kit with a bunch of parts. But I suck at programming. This looks kind of easy. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes please I would love to learn more on this.

This is awesome. Specially when you want to makes parallel running programs. Now eventually compiler will make it sequential but can we select sequence of operations for each block?

I just discovered XOD and being a Arduino newbie I am hoping I can make more advanced programs, such as Lcd displays, I2C implementation, etc...

Thanks Chep! Visual programming are the best way to introduce to procedural programming IMHO. Amazing. Have you looked at the generated code? I suppose that it's object-oriented as block-metaphor is used. Is the code easily readable even for seasoned programmer. I'll give it try asap. Instructive intro. Thanks.

It's time to make a new one! How about the MAX31865 and a PT100 or PT1000 probe, PID, OLED, and rotary encoder for input. I know, I know, I'm being selfish..:)

I looked at this but I couldn't figure out how to do any uart stuff which made it pretty useless for me

Hello!
I just discover your Youtube video. I installed XOD some month ago.
I have a problem, and maybe you could help me:
When I click on DEPLOY, it tells me:
Arduino dependencies missing
You have to install these packages first: Arduino AVR Boards.
Where can I find this package, and how can I install it?
Thanks for your time.
PS: I install the desktop version, not the web one.

Do serial audio project (two arduinos talking to each other)

Does anyone know how to get the moisture sensor in XOD I can’t it anywhere?

This is a good introduction to embedded programming, but as a software developer and a manager, being involved in doing interviews and hiring, I would caution the reliance on such tools. I've had too many people come through my office door who don't know/understand the basis/foundation of programming, and those that do, seemed to have learned it on their own and not in college. When you actually do this for a living, having these tools is not practical without understand of what the tool is doing, because eventually you have to look at the code and understand it.

I am not a programmer so downloaded the software to try but it is hard to find someone to follow that takes it further everyone starts ok then only do 2 videos and goes away like you it would be nice to find someone to follow as I want to build a temperature control with two relay outputs one for high and one for low to control a damper for air flow and thought this would be good I also need a display with a menu but xod as yet does not cover displays other than 2x16 so are you going to take it further if so I will follow your channel Bob-UK
