I thought I knew everything about Base Layers – I was wrong! Over the last few months, I've done loads of research into base layers for cycling, and I've learned way more about this staple in the cycling wardrobe. Here's what I learned and my pick for the best cycling base layer you can buy.

Keep an eye on Mountain Warehouse for merino baselayers, they’re cheaper than the cycling brands and are just as good as they’re merino! I’ve seen them as low as £10 though that’s rare but much, much cheaper.

So what are the '3 key things ' ? 1 is material. What is 2 and 3? I would suggest 2 is the weave open fishnet weave is best . But looks like you never explaned 2 or 3 key features ?

Thanks for sharing. Last couple of days i was thinking about new baselayers. I have a rapha summer baselayer and one craft baselayer. Also some layers that i used to use when going out riding with my motorcycle. My favourite is Rapha. The Craft gets baggier when you wear it alot. I think that i am going to take a look at UC.

Don't look only in bike manufacturer bredns, I bought polartec grid base layer for skiing, fom Polish brand Elbrus for 30 quid.

Whats the two other you are wearing over the UC baselayer?

Tried loads. All of them get saturated and then soak the other layers when wearing a bunch in winter.

Uh...it all matters on the weight of the Merino Wool jersey to tried. Otherwise your video is useless.
