Drop Spindle - Adding More Fiber

To add more length to the yarn, leave 2 inches of the yarn unspun on the end. (It is important not to try and make a join of new fiber over an already spun section of yarn, because it will come apart). Overlap the new fiber a few inches over the loose end of the spun yarn. Spin the spindle and let the twist run into the joined fibers. Give the join a little extra twist before continuing, to make sure that the join is secure.
