Happy 1st Anniversary to the Come Learn With Pibby short! Kinda crazy that’s it been a year since then 😳 I remember when I came across Out of context clips of it and it terrified me legitimately. And then I watched the whole pilot and was immediately fixated. Such an impact that I’ve made quite a lot of music and animation based on it. And you guys seemed to be obsessed alongside men Cant let the anniversary just go by without something special, so me and a few other team members on /Pibby prepared this video for you!

The song has actually been in production for almost a year as well, I wrote this track not too long after hearing “Kiss Me (Kill Me)” and wanted to apply some of my favorite themes from that video to Pibby. We even got the singer from that video too, so it’s all full circle! A lot of the skeleton of this song has stayed vastly the same, but everything around it has evolved so much. Hope you guys have fun digging into the chunk of the story revealed if you look into the video closely 👀👀👀

The one thing i am happy about is the fact that someone FINALLY acknowledges the existence of Pibby's friends aside from Bun Bun.

Not sure if others get it. But BunBun is talking about the ending of their show and has found a way for shows to “Continue” after ending. That’s why you see all the hands reaching out of characters that had their shows end but wanted the chance to continue on. My guess would be when a show ends the characters see it as dying which would explain Pibby’s verse of saying goodbye wouldn’t mean they would die and then the screen glitches. (I also got curious and looked this up and the show itself…Let’s say this animation isn’t just fan made like this)

Everyone did such an amazing job here but it took me a minute to realize JuKay also sang Kiss me (Kill me). Another way to combine your fixations huh Jake? Just stellar work all for you!

I love how the beginning is such a convincing children's song. Like, a song with simple lyrics about how even though saying goodbye makes you sad in the moment, it's necessary because you can't stay at you friend house forever. That's a good lesson to teach children! But then it warps and shows that even though "never saying goodbye" *sounds* nice it's really, really not.

Considering Pibby has yet to reveal any major plans for a show (that I know of) I would honestly believe this to be the best idea for a plot and villain motive.

This song gives me so many emotions at once, but mostly sadness. Imagine your entire home coming to an end, no matter how much you run, things around you come to an end, you either just fight it, or accept your fate.

Such a shame this show hasn't been green lit yet. It deserves it and has so much potential.

I love that it's like if the show was gonna get cancelled or ended and bunbun went crazy just to keep the show alive.

You know, this song made me realize something that was technically obvious, but it could play into Pibby's potential plot.
No other show or characters have the ability to see the audience watching them. Pibby and her friends do.
Unlike EVERY other cartoon genre, they can break the fourth wall regularly. Which could mean whatever the darkness is, it could eventually be trying to escape the confides of TV. Hence why BunBun becomes the primary antagonist once combined with the darkness.

EDIT:
I've seen a lot of comments suggesting characters that have technically broken the fourth wall before, and I feel like I should clarify what I meant. I wasn't referring to shows or characters that have made a couple meta jokes or had a meta episode. I am SPECIFICALLY referring that no other genre is built to look at the screen and be able to see and talk to their viewers regularly. Pre-school shows are the only kind of show that address their audience the way they do; as real kids watching them to learn, interact with the show, and be entertained. No meta reference in any of kind of genre comes even close to it.
So as a pre-school designed to talk to people in the real world, Pibby and her friends are unique.
