Funny story: tonight at work I asked most of my coworkers what their favorite bands were...and most of them told me about country bands, or some rappers...whatever, but one lady -- she's got to be pushing 70 -- said to me, "well, I think they're called Dark Chest of Wonders, or something like that...wow. The drummer sounds like he has 3 arms!" I raised my eyebrow a bit. "What genre of music? Sounds familiar..." She thought for a moment and said, "I think it's Swedish Black Metal, but I'm not sure. You should check them out." Obviously a bit off with the names and genre, but seriously, how awesome is it for a 70 year old to be rocking out to Nightwish? :)

you couldn't have a more versatile singer with a bigger sound than her and Nightwish and this song that really helps to showcase what compositions go what mister Tuomas Holopainen and company can do is so intellectually stimulating because no one puts heavy metal and the sounds and colors of the symphony together and they do it with such elegance and raw power this song is another where everyone can shine they have alot of songs like that

I never really wrote a comment about the many singers of Nightwish, but such comments are all I've been seeing since Floor joined the band, so I'm going to give my 2 cents and simply stop reading Nightwish comments altogether.
All three singers stand on equal grounds for me, but my personal favourite is Floor, not because she is the best, but because of her versatility. It's going to be a great strength if she sticks with the band for further albums because it will allow Tuomas to create music without worrying about whether or not the singer will be able to handle it. Floor can and will handle it.
That's just my 2 cents though. I respect all three singers, Tarja Turunen, Anette Olzon and Floor Jansen.

I read the reason why Floor doesn't sing Tarja's songs like Tarja in full opera (we know she is more the capable.) is she doesn't want to "copy" any of the previous singers or "front for a Nightwish cover band". She sings the songs how she would sing them if they were her own. Seriously guys... Check out some of her opera stuff.

Dare I say that Nw has found it's future singer. It's sometimes hard to admit that a band can still be good after a drastic change. I grew up listening to them with Tarja but fuck nostalgia, this rocks! Floor is a perfect fit to this band.

As a no-body in Canada, I been listening to Floor since 05' her After Forever days, was even listening to NW same time. Time goes on high school college kids and a beautiful home. Nw singers going left and right, then omg Floor Jansen. One of the best singers joined one of my favorite bands. WOW. I'm so happy for her.
