Lachesis is the second of the three Fates, with her sisters, Clotho and Atropos, making up the remainder of the trio. Each sister had a specific role in the process of shaping destiny: Clotho spun the thread of life, Atropos cut it when the time came, and Lachesis measured its length. Her task was to determine how long each person would live, setting the boundaries of their existence. This was done using a measuring rod, ensuring that no one would live beyond their appointed time.
