Kudos to you GeoFoto! I don’t know, maybe it’s just fortuitous, but having watched several of your videos, so far I’d say you seem to be the only driving video maker on YT that has fully understood that a correct lighting is the key for video quality.
The rules for a quality driving video are actually very simple:
1) the most important: always drive northbound if the trip has a N-S orientation, or, when the orientation is mainly W-E, drive westbound in the morning and eastbound in the afternoon. In general, plan the trip direction and duration in order to have the sun on your back as much as possible.
2) ceteris paribus, when possible always opt for starting the drive in the early morning, when the sky is usually more clean and bright, and colours more vibrant.
3) if possible mount the camera outside the windshield, it will keep the images free from annoying reflections, in addition to getting a much better view and clarity.

All that should be self-evident, yet on YT I keep stumbling on potentially stunning driving videos totally ruined by not following any of the basic filming rules, very often even managing to have the sun straight in the face throughout the whole trip. All you get to see during those videos is dark landscape silhouettes, washed contrast and dull colours, all immersed in a sort of bright haziness. It’s a real disgrace.
Once on a driving trip, the cost in time and gasoline to make an excellent video instead of an awful one is the same, why so many always find the way to get their efforts wasted is beyond me.
