In this tutorial, we will build an amazon price tracker with Python using python web scraping in under 20 minutes. This is a great tutorial for beginners that have a little bit of practice programming but haven't built anything useful yet. I give some general programming and python specific tips along the way and really show you the process of coming up with something like this.

To keep things as simple as possible, we will only use tools that we absolutely need to build our app, and we will mostly be referring to the official python documentation, which is an accurate, stable and reliable source of information for all things python. We will leverage python requests and web scraping in order to build an amazon price tracker.

We will build a bot that tracks amazon price for a product of interest and sends an email when the product price is below a price that we specify.

Interesting video! Do you think HasData could help handle large scale scraping for Amazon price trackers?

This was great, I know zero about python but just like a lot of people you have to have a project to kickstart your passion. I’ve decided I want to track products on TCG Player and will try and follow this tutorial to hopefully get the same results and learn something at the same time. 😁 Do you know if python can help me track prices, like each day it checks the prices and updates a file that I can look at at each day what the price was? Not sure if that’s doable or not.
