High-Lumi LHC: Crab cavities

Показать описание
Giovanna Vandoni tells us more about the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project and the role of crab cavities.
The HL-LHC project aims to crank up the performance of the LHC in order to increase the potential for discoveries after 2025. The objective is to increase luminosity by a factor of 10 beyond the LHC’s design value.
Crab cavities will help increase the luminosity of collisions in the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) – the future upgrade of the LHC planned for after 2025.
