It’s critically important for mums and expectant parents reviewing this out of worry and searching the net about Duodenal Atresia particularly if you’ve been told your baby has this antenatally on a scan, that Duodenal Atresia can present entirely by itself and that there is a 33% chance your baby will have T21 (Downs Syndrome). This video says it’s associated with Downs Syndrome almost implying the two come hand in hand but they do not ! There’s a small association, thats all.

Sir, if the double bubble sign is due to dilation of duodenum and stomach due to the presence of food ...then why do they appear radiolucent as if air filled?
