Eric calculating for most of his time just for the opponent to blunder mate in 2 immediately is so on point

11:12 "if King takes E4, black has forced mate after this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then this and then checkmates"

Ah yes of course I saw all that ahead of time

I love when you shift from "gotta take my time and explain it really slowly for my viewers" to "I have 30 seconds to win this game"

3:11 (deciding whether Kd7 or Kd8) "probably both are fine, let's play Kd8" --> 9:20 finds out that move decided btw winning & losing position 😂

Releasing these right at bedtime is a uniquely clever idea IM Rosen. I love it. You have an amazing voice.

“Really I’m just more interested in mating than winning back the knight.”

Aren’t we all, brother.

I watch a lot of speedrun content, and going in you know a master player has great calculation and in-depth knowledge of openings. But it's always end game technique that I find the most impressive. Game 3 is a good example, the other player can hang in the opening and middle game but as soon as the queens come off the extra pawn is an overwhelming advantage and Eric plays in a really specific way that makes converting look so easy.

39:45 opponent had 4min to think and he blundered. You nearly lost on time if he had not blundered this because theres no increment. The 1st game was a piece of art- you played amazing. Thanks

Loved this one. These are getting more intense and challenging, but the margin of error even with a 1600+ player is still much higher. Enjoying how you handle the various openings too!

At 11:17 can someone explain what "annenis" means? My spell checker tries to correct it to "Anemia" and I can't find annenis in the Merriam-Webster. It must be one of Eric's strange Scrabble™ words.

I see new speedrun, I watch new speedrun. Amazing stuff, as usual. Can't wait for the next one.

Pretty sure that jobava london was a specific line a YouTuber recommends, and player followed it as far as he could remember.

Thanks for these videos. I’ve watched them all and some more than once. My chess is getting better because I concentrate on development now and look for forks and discovered attacks. Most excellent instruction.

Eric and "Complete Chaos" are not phrases I think of as being mutually compatible. I'd expect more Eric and "Complete Calm" with Chamomile tea.
