If I started taking photos in my neighborhood (suburb) and any of my neighbors noticed, the cops would be called and warning me off. I took a photo of my own house and my neighbors wanted to know when I was selling and if I was going to set the price so it wouldn't affect their home values.

When I got into product photography I didn't want to follow the norm. At 1st I was reaching to small businesses and big business no one wasn't rocking with me. Until 2 business gave me a chance and showcased their products in whole new different way. I'm not completely on but I'm doing well and clients are coming, simply bc I chose to stay in my own lane. Thanks for making this! It's been tough for me to develop my own distinct style and make meaningful photos after spending all of my career interning at a studio. When you work in events at a studio you have to follow the style that is individual to the studio. And it's been great to learn about photography from a technical standpoint but after I started shooting for fun for myself is when I started to be more creative and develop my own style!
