마지막 외국거주 위안부 피해자 송신도할머니 별세…생존자 32명
Another surviving victim of Japan's wartime atrocities has passed away.
The Korean Council for Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan confirmed that Song Shin-do... who was forced to serve in Japanese military brothels for 7 years during World War 2... died of old age on Saturday in Tokyo... and she was 95.
Song was one of the victims who filed a lawsuit in 1993 seeking an official apology and compensation from the Japanese government,... but lost the case at Tokyo's Supreme Court.
She is the eighth survivor of the horrific ordeal who passed away this year alone.
With the recent loss,... there are now only 32 other victims remaining who had registered with the Korean government.

Why doesn`t Arirang news focus on ordeals of Vietnamese women who were raped by Korean Marines during the Vietnam War? When President Moon Jae-in paid an official visit Vietnam this year, he glorified Korean Marines during the Vietnam War while he did not mention about anything about plights of Vietnamese women and Rai Dan Han who were born between Korean men and Vietnamese women.
